Our Vineyard
Located in Dixons Creek on Wurundjeri Country, our 10-acre vineyard is farmed with a strong focus on sustainability and biodiversity. Planted in the early ’90s on its own roots, the vines grow on grey-red sandy loam over clay, with a mix of south and north-facing slopes and cooling influences from nearby hills.
We’re committed to regenerative farming, encouraging healthy soils and resilient vines through considered, long-term practices.
Native species are being replanted around the vineyard, dam and gardens to support biodiversity and natural balance—preserving the land for future generations.
Box Grove Vineyard
Box Grove is farmed by Sarah Gough in Nagambie Lakes, Goulburn Valley, on Taungurung Country. Her thoughtful, creative approach to farming is a constant source of inspiration for us.
The vineyard is managed with a light touch—prioritising soil health, natural canopy balance, and biodiversity. Native plantings encourage beneficial insects, and compost and biodynamic preparations are made on site to support vine resilience.
Sarah continues to adapt the vineyard by grafting varieties better suited to the local climate. Once dominated by Shiraz, Cabernet Sauvignon and Roussanne, Box Grove now grows a diverse mix including Garnacha, Pinot Gris, Vermentino, Arinto, Nebbiolo, Mataro, and more.
Traditional Owners
We acknowledge the Traditional Owners of the lands on which we grow and make wine—the Wurundjeri people of the Kulin Nation in the Yarra Valley, and the Taungurung people of the Kulin Nation in Nagambie Lakes.
We pay our respects to their Elders past and present, and recognise their enduring connection to Country, culture, and community.
We are grateful to live and work on these lands, and strive to tread respectfully and sustainably in all that we do.
